We have made the whole process really very simple indeed. No need to download an app, no memberships, and no complicated steps. Just go up to a station, rent one, charge it up and then return it. Here’s exactly what you need to do:

Step 1 - Find a ChargoX station

ChargoX stations are installed at high-traffic locations across Winnipeg – bars, restaurants, hotels, shopping malls, hospitals, universities, gyms, event venues, airports, and locations where people catch public transport. If your phone battery is running very low, look for a ChargoX station right there at the venue you are currently visiting.

Step 2 - Scan the QR code

Every ChargoX station will have a QR code shown on the front of it. Open your phone’s camera, scan the code, and you’ll be taken directly to the rental screen. No app needs to be downloaded, nor will you need to set up an account.

Step 3 – Choose your rental duration

Select how long you need the power bank. Prices are displayed clearly right up until you confirm – you’ll always see exactly what you’re paying out for. Choose the length that suits you and confirm your rental.

Step 4 - Take your power bank

Your station will release a fully charged power bank for you to take away. It comes with built-in leads compatible with iPhone and Android devices. Just plug it in, and push it into your pocket or bag – and carry on with your day.

Step 5 - Return it when you've finished

Return the power bank to any ChargoX station in Winnipeg – not just the one you rented from. Simply pop it in, and you’re done. That’s it – really that straightforward. No fuss, no searching for outlets, nor approaching people and asking if you can use their charger. It’s merely a very quick, extremely handy charge if you need it – wherever you are in Winnipeg.
